31/30 Days of deity devotion

Day 31: Bonus post

As I searched for photos to illustrate this meme, pictures kept cropping up of a particular kind of critter that seems to be abundant at the site of the Asclepion at Pergamon. Since August has 31 days, I decided to make one extra 30 Days of Divinity Devotion post to share some photos of the turtles (and tortoises?) of Pergamon! Turtles are known to live long lives, and I like to think the healing pools and springs sacred to Ascelpius have contributed to that!
