I am a perpetual student, and my understanding is continually evolving.
My interest in polytheism started as soon as I was old enough to understand I had been named for a goddess. Those early days were marked by spontaneous acts of worship, and frustration with a society that widely regarded mythology to be, as C.S. Lewis remarked, “…lies and therefore worthless, even though breathed through silver.”
Fortunately, that changed in the ’80s. Like many, I discovered Wicca first, but I accepted Asatru as soon as I learned of it. I considered myself a Heathen for nearly three decades, while I continued to explore the polytheistic religions of the past and present. My practice currently focuses on the Roman, Hellenic, and Norse deities, the local gods, and a few from other pantheons.
